Dr. Danielle King is a gun violence scholar-public policy practitioner, directly impacted by her brother, Sheldon King’s murder on September 16, 2018. Dr. King creates policy change for Black & Brown communities gravely affected by gun violence by disproportionate rates.
Personal Tragedy to Policy Change
This is my brother Sheldon King. He was murdered by someone who had illegal access to a gun. My mission is to integrate my personal tragedy to direct and inform gun violence prevention/ intervention models in Black & Brown communities.
